Editorial Process

Editorial Process

Receipt of Articles: Authors interested in publishing in Infotech Journal should submit their articles through the online submission system on the journal's website. The Editorial Committee will conduct an initial review to ensure that the articles adhere to the objectives and scope of the journal, in addition to complying with the requirements established in the publication guidelines. The Editorial Committee will make pertinent corrections, focused on formal aspects and adequacy to the content, in collaboration with the authors. It is important to point out that the reception of the article does not imply its immediate acceptance.

Peer Review System: Articles that pass the initial review will be submitted to a rigorous peer review process. Two or more peer reviewers will be assigned to evaluate the article confidentially and anonymously, following the double-blind review method. The reviewers will evaluate aspects such as content, relevance, scientific quality and formal aspects of the article. The corrections and suggestions proposed by the reviewers must be incorporated by the authors in the manuscript as a requirement for final acceptance.

Editorial Decision: The editorial decision for the acceptance or rejection of articles is based on a series of rigorous criteria that ensure the quality and relevance of the contents. These criteria include the originality of the work, precision in the treatment of the subject, theoretical soundness, scientific validity and reliability of the results presented. Other factors evaluated are the justification of the results, the potential impact of the work, the perspectives and future contributions, the quality of the writing, the presentation of tables and figures, and the correct reference to external sources. Upon completion of the evaluation process, the lead author will be notified of the decision to accept or reject the paper.

Acknowledgement of Acceptance: It is relevant to note that authors whose papers are selected for publication in Infotech Journal will receive an acknowledgement of acceptance. This acknowledgement represents the recognition of the Editorial Committee and confirms that the article has met the rigorous criteria of quality and relevance necessary for its inclusion in the journal.

This editorial process ensures the quality and originality of the content presented in Infotech Journal, guaranteeing that readers have access to valuable and relevant research in the field of informatics and computing.

Peer Review Process

Contributions must favorably accredit the academic review process, which will operate under the double-blind peer review modality, where the identity of both authors and reviewers will remain anonymous:

The articles that accredit the editorial opinion will be sent to academic experts in the same disciplinary and thematic area as those of the proposed text. The reviewers will be selected from the portfolio of referees - composed of specialists from national and international institutions - who will comment on the relevance and quality of the proposed text and will determine the feasibility of its publication.

  1. The reviewers will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing that the texts are an original contribution, that the theoretical references are pertinent and the methodology adequate, and for assessing the relevance of the findings described.
  2. All texts will be sent to two experts -attached to an institution different from that of the authors-, who will issue their comments. Finally, based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor's decision will be:
